Hello and welcome to the Falkland and Newton of Falkland website. This site is to provide residents with updates on Community Council activities and provide updates on what occurs within the community.

We're in the process of updating it to make it easier to use and to find things, let us know what you think and of any improvements you might like. The site is for you so please provide us with feedback especially if there are matters you wish to bring to our attention.

About Your Community Council

Falkland and Newton of Falkland Community Council is not affiliated to any political party or viewpoint and exists solely to represent the views of the Communities of Falkland and Newton of Falkland on all relevant matters including Planning, Policing, Fife Council services, Roads and Transport, Health, and any other matter where the views of community residents are sought, or residents have concerns about.

All community councillors are volunteers and are resident within the community area they serve.

Meetings

Falkland and Newton of Falkland Community Council meets on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings are held at 7pm at Falkland Community Hall except for one meeting per year which is held in Newton of Falkland Village Hall.

Dates and times of upcoming meetings are published on our Facebook page and on this sites home page.

All meetings are open to the public to attend. We discuss local matters from an agenda set by Community Council members, which reflect current and/or historic issues of local importance. Occasionally, these issues may also have relevance to the Fife Council area as a whole.
